Chain and Star, Fostoria  Updated 8/12/2004
Known in a handful of marigold tumblers and a creamer and sugar set. The pattern, repeated on two sides of the tumbler, is a whirling star encircled by a chain. The base is ground and is 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Also known as Virginia or No. 1467. The tumbler is courtesy of Lee Markley; the marigold creamer and sugar sold for $175 in 1998.

In August 2004, Alan Lavendier sent me this photo of his clear, iridized Chain and Star tumbler. I've not heard of one before.
