Fanciful, Dugan   Updated 4/30/2012

A typically elaborate Dugan pattern characterized by abstract floral themes including heart shaped leaves (or strawberries, as some people refer to them). Blue is rare in bowls but fairly common in plates. Some ruffled bowls are so low that they are often referred to as plates. The low-ruffled bowl in purple with blue iridescence, above, sold at the 2012 Heart of America Carnival Glass convention auction for $2,200. Photo courtesy of Seeck Auctions.
