Similar to Dugan's Starfish which is found in compotes and bon bons. Five Hearts bowls, especially those that are pulled up and flared, are sometimes referred to as compotes. Above left is a beautiful, rare lavender bowl, courtesy of Janet Knechtel, and an amethyst bowl with typical shaping.

There are only a few of these rosebowl whimsies known, all in marigold. One sold for $900 in 1996, one for $725 in 2001, and one for $750 in 2003.
