Four Flowers, Dugan   Updated 3/25/2008
The pattern has four large flowers separated by overlapping crescent shapes. The reverse usually has the Soda Gold exterior--the same pattern found as a background on Dugan's Maple Leaf. The Swedish glass maker, Eda, also made the pattern. A similar pattern, Four Flowers variant, thought to have been made in Europe, has the same crescents and four flowers, but with the addition of buds located between the overlapping crescents. Left above is a spectacular ruffled Four Flowers bowl in purple with blue iridescence. It sold for $1,700 in 2000. On the right is a typical small plate (about 6 inches) in peach opal. These are the most frequently seen shapes and colors in the pattern.
