Grape and Cable Centerpiece Bowls, Ferneries, Northwood   Updated 12/1/2011

Other than rosebowls, very few carnival glass pieces cup in as does the Grape and Cable centerpiece bowl. With a few of the colors, some have points that are straight up rather than cupped in. Though more rare, these examples don't seem to bring better prices. In Northwood's custard glass line, the centerpiece bowl does not have points, but a smooth edge (right photo). Some of these have gold trim, others a nutmeg-colored stain.
