Lightning Flower, Northwood   Updated 12/6/2009

Named for the flower with a stem shaped like a cartoon lightning bolt. Until a few years ago, these nappies were considered rare and fairly desirable. That seemed to have brought a few to auction, so prices have declined somewhat in recent years. Only known in marigold, they are currently selling in the $80 to $130 range. There is also a ruffled bowl in marigold known with the pattern only on the exterior.
