Mother's Day plates, Fenton
Beginning in 1971, Fenton produced a series of 9 plates honoring Mother's Day. Each plate showed a mother and child and was based on a famous painting or sculpture. The three shown here are "Madonna With the Sleeping Child, 1971 (upper left), "The Small Cowper, 1973" (above), and "Madonna of the Rose Hedge, 1979." The plates were made in amethyst Carnival as well as noniridized blue satin and white satin. I've seen one in red.

These mostly sell in the $15 range on ebay, but I've seen them trade for as little as $6 and as much as $46.
