Rays and Ribbons, Millersburg   Updated 12/14/2011
Named for the rays extending from the center and the ribbon-like band around the edge. Top left was the only known chop plate until a vaseline example sold on ebay in October, 2002. It is amethyst with very interesting iridescence; a very satiny--almost stretch--effect. It sold in 2002 for $600. Top right is the only known vaseline bowl. Bottom left is the only known oval bowl--in green, and next to it a rare rosebowl in marigold. Blue bowls are also known. The pattern on the back is called Cactus.
