Sowerby Drape, Sowerby

These scarce vases are black amethyst, an unusual color for any European manufacturer. They are 9.75 inches tall and are found flared out as well as cupped in as shown here. Bill Heacock named the pattern Lady Cynthia, not realizing it was already named, in honor of the woman who showed him the first one he had seen.
