Windmill, Imperial   Updated 2/5/2009

The Windmill pattern is easy to confuse with another of Imperial's patterns, Double Dutch--and may have been part of the same line. This one has only one windmill. Bowls may be collar based or footed; the footed examples being slightly more desirable. At left is a typical ruffled bowl in purple and above a pickle dish in green. Bowls, pickle dishes, and water sets were reproduced.

There are three different sizes of pitchers: The smallest is the milk pitcher at 6 1/4 inches tall, midsize pitcher and full size water pitcher, both 8 inches tall. The midsize pitcher has a smaller circumference and a smaller lip. Above are a marigold milk pitcher and a full size water pitcher in an interesting bronze color that sold in 2006 for $250. Milk pitchers are quite common.
