Amber, Horehound, and Rootbeer
Amber base glass can vary from almost a yellow to a brown. Visualize the color of amber used to make jewelry. Above are an Imperial Hattie bowl in a lighter, more yellow amber, and a Fenton Dragon and Lotus in a darker version.
At the left is a Northwood stippled Strawberry bowl in Horehound. Horehound is a sort of grayed amber, the color of the traditional horehound candy. Some collectors call this Rootbeer.
