| Tree Trunk is distinguished by its irregularly spaced hobs and short crescent shapes distributed between the hobs. There are four base sizes; 3 3/8 to 3 3/4 inches (standard), 4 3/4 inches (midsize), 3 3/4 inches (midsize variant) and 5 1/4 inches (funeral). Above are a standard size in sapphire blue (rare color), a squatty standard in amethyst, a midsize, a typical funeral vase, and an elephant foot funeral. An elephant foot funeral vase, which is a funeral vase that is less than 15 inches tall. Not shown is the midsize variant, which has the band around the foot (sometimes called a plunger base). Be aware that some sellers will characterize some vases as midsize funerals. There is no such thing--they are either a midsize or a funeral. By calling a vase a midsize funeral, an unscrupulous seller is trying to trick the buyer into accepting a midsize as a funeral size--and paying more for it.
